Rocket League Team Manager

Responsibilities

  • Encouraging and promoting fair play
  • Being sympathetic to the needs and concerns of team members, particularly those who may need additional support
  • Supporting and liaising with other key ‘players’
  • Liaising with external organisations
  • Being knowledgeable about the game and it’s rules of competition
  • Providing effective and timely communication to all relevant organisations and individuals
  • Inputting events into a team calendar
  • Keeping the team active through regular practice and competition
  • Scouting prospective players
  • Attending Management meetings as required to discuss the happenings of the team
  • Encouraging players to be engaging across all social media platforms including Twitch
  • Looking for promotional opportunities for the team
  • Researching any news media related to the team and submitting for monthly sponsorship reports

Reward
This position is unpaid, as are all other mYinsanity staff positions.

You will be handed responsibility from the first day on, and are free to implement your own ideas as to the management of the team.

Time
10 hours per week.

  • Willing to listen and have the ability to communicate effectively – a preference for listening and understanding is better than one of controlling and talking
  • Commit themselves to the team, and do not give up when the going gets rough                
  • Consistent in quality of performance and dealings with others
  • ‘Walk their talk’ and are role models for desirable team behavior
  • Able to deal with problem team members effectively and professionally 
  • Exhibit patience and tolerance and make decisions without prejudice
  • Have the necessary mental toughness and emotional stability to be able to deal with the demands of the role
  • Aware of their and other people’s limitations and have this covered
  • Love Rocket League and esports!
  • A well developed sense of humor!

Social Media Writer

Description
As a Social Media Writer you’re in charge of posting news, events, streams and more on a daily basis.
You’re working close together with our Media team to provide our fan base with constant Information about tournaments, players streaming and news .

Reward

Time
4 hours per week.

Requirements

  • Be up-to-date with tournaments, streams and general scene information.
  • Able to use Twitter and Facebook, knowledge of how the workflow looks
  • Be able to spend a minimum of 4 hours per week for mYinsanity
  • Detailed knowledge of the e-sport scene
  • Fluent in English
  • Ability to work in a team, willing to take advice and help out others
  • A passion for e-sports
  • Optional: Able to use Photoshop or a similar Graphics Software

Content Creator / Writer

Description
As a content creator, you will be expected to produce media (written articles, video interviews, etc) which can cover everything from our own teams and events to the wide range of subject matter associated with each game.  Assignments may include interviews, general news, tournament coverage, event reporting, strategy guides, etc.  mYinsanity is striving for consistent, quality content and for anyone looking to get their foot in the door of the ever expanding eSports industry, this is a great first step.

You will be handed responsibility from the first day on and you can live out your creativity.

  • Must be proficient in the English language
  • Have exceptional knowledge of at least one game and it’s culture
  • Be able to spend a minimum of 4 hours per week for mYinsanity
  • Ability to work in a team, willing to take advice and help out others
  • A passion for e-sports
  • Willing to work with deadlines
  • Be able to communicate effectively

Pluses

  • Experience with Adobe’s Photoshop and Premiere
  • Knowledge of WordPress
