mYinsanity Heroes of the Storm roster update

While most have been taking time off during the holiday break, our Heroes of the Storm players and staff have been hard at work.

Unfortunately, a few players have parted ways since our impressive run at Dreamhack All-Stars – 2015 Winter Clash, but we are very pleased to announced that the mYinsanity roster is once again complete. Without further ado, it is our pleasure to introduce the newest members of the roster and bring you up to speed with their background.

Lyubomir “Splendour” Kozlovski, Bulgaria, Position: Support

Splendour comes to us from Natus Vincere, where he finished strong in 2015 with a Top 4 finish at the 2015 Heroes of the Storm World Championship, and a 1st place finish at the 2015 HWC – Europe Championship.  He is an ex-StarCraft II player who achieved some success playing a “cheesy” style that led him to the WCG Finals in 2011.  He had this to say about joining mYi…

“I played StarCraft II competitively back in Wings of Liberty, but took a break from the competitive scene afterwards. I had gotten a beta key to Heroes in September of 2014, but didn’t take it very seriously until this past year. Fun fact – I was a full time programmer when Heroes was originally released, but I quit after the Road to Blizzcon announcement came out in order to play full time.”

Dennis “HasuObs” Schneider, Germany, Position: Carry
The man, the myth, the legend, HasuObs has officially come out of retirement to play Heroes of the Storm professionally. Following an impressive WarCraft 3 career, HasuObs became one of the most decorated German StarCraft II players in the history of the game. After a brief stint with Team Roccat, HasuObs has been picked up by the mYinsanity team and is ready to progress his outstanding resume. Now fully entering his third professional game, HasuObs is ready to break records once more.

Remaining on the mYinsanity roster are the following players…

Nils “Nurok” Gebhardt, Germany, Position: Flex
A former World of Warcraft and League of Legends competitive player, Nurok has shown exceptional promise when it comes to Heroes of the Storm competition. Having played with several of the other mYinsanity members he has proven to be a strong leader and exceptional team member.

Simon “Darkmok” Tabin, Germany, Position: Flex
Originally a semi-professional League of Legends player, Darkmok was able to achieve the level of Challenger before switching over to Heroes of the Storm. Darkmok has a lot of experience playing with his teammate Blumbi and the synergy between the two is obvious in combat.

Markus “Blumbi” Hanke, Germany, Position: Tank
Another former League of Legends player, Blumbi was actually not a professional player before switching to Heroes of the Storm – that being said he was able to consistently reach Master league in League of Legends. His many months of experience with teammate Darkmok has begun to show results in and of itself. Blumbi is consistently cool under pressure, and have an impressive ability to keep his teammates focused on the task at hand.

The following players have parted ways with mYinsanity…

Martin “Crozzby” Rugh
Crozzby has decided to part ways with mYinsanity and has in turn been picked up by Natus Vincire – We wish him the best of luck on his continued career.

Jonathas “Wubby” Gunnarsson
Unfortunately our try out Wubby didn’t end up being a proper fit for the team. He has amicably parted ways with the organization and is currently trying out for the Fnatic squad. Hopefully he will be a solid fit for their roster.

“Wubby is a really great player, and it was an awesome experience playing with him. We were really lucky as a team to get him as a replacement after losing “GerdamHerd”, and he ended up being a really important part in our Top 4 finish at Dreamhack. Unfortunately, he decided to look for other opportunities when “Crozzby” left for Na’Vi.

After having tryouts for the whole month of December, we finally found a good roster with “HasuObs” as carry and “Splendour” as our support. Both of them are top players in their specific positions and have a strong understanding of the game. Even though we lost two very good players to other teams in the last month, I am confident we can reach even more with “Splendour”, “Hasu” and the awesome support from mYinsanity. I don’t think I’ve ever played in a team with a better atmosphere; everyone is incredibly motivated and positive to play together. Our goal for 2016 is to be the best team in Europe, and to represent Europe in any upcoming international events. People used to underestimate our roster in the past, but we will again show them how wrong they are.”

– Markus “Blumbi” Hanke, Team Captain

Keep on the look out for the brand new mYinsanity roster when they battle for victory in the Enter the Storm – Europe Cup #4 at the end of January. We are all very excited to welcome our newest members to the team, and wish a found farewell to those who have departed. Always fighting, up mYi!
